San Francisco

Excellent, low fares to sunny California, with some very tempting non-stop flights from London under £300 return.

These fares are hand baggage only, so remember to add on the cost of a checked bag unless you’re planning on travelling light.

How To Find The Cheapest Flights

To find these fares, click the Google Flights link below and find the cheapest dates in the Google Flights calendar.

When you’ve found your dates in Google Flights, click the Skyscanner link below for the route you’re interested in and search using the cheapest dates to get the best fares.
If there’s no Skyscanner link, the fare doesn’t drop in Skyscanner or Momondo and I recommend you follow the links in Google Flights and book direct with the airline.

Travel Dates
Generally October ’19 to May ’20, excluding the December and Easter peak dates, with some variations for each route.

How much do these flights usually cost?
Around £400 – £450+ return

British Airways, American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Delta, Air France, KLM

What’s included?
These fares include meals but don’t include a checked bag.
For the BA and Virgin flights, if you book direct with the airline you’ll pay around £90 return (or more) for a bag. It’s worth looking at the travel agents on Skyscanner (e.g. TravelUp) to see if adding a bag through them is cheaper.
For the Air France and KLM flights it is usually cheaper to book direct with the airline and upgrade your fare to include checked bags whilst you book.

The London flights are all non-stop in both directions, all other flights have one short connection in each direction.

Visas and Health
I always recommend checking the entry requirements and health advice before booking your flights so you don’t get any nasty surprises!
