Rwanda is a very welcoming country, and whilst the scars of the civil war still linger it is a wonderful place to visit. I travelled to Rwanda a few years ago and took the photo on this post whilst I was tracking mountain gorillas there. It was an experience that I will never forget and this country holds a very special place in my heart.

Yes, Rwanda is a little off the beaten track but, as with most things in life, if you’re prepared to get out of your comfort zone the rewards are huge.
