There are some slightly cheaper fares with Air China with long connections but I would pay the extra and fly with China Southern for shorter connections and an overall much better experience.

To find these fares, click the Google Flights link below and find the cheapest dates in the Google Flights calendar.
When you’ve found your dates in Google Flights, click the Skyscanner link and search using the cheapest dates to get the best fares.
All prices are for a return economy flight in UK pounds.
There are a few dates between October and December ’19 (for around £30 less than the prices above). There are a lot more dates between and February to April ’20 excluding the peak Easter dates.
